Professional Liability Insurance
Mittelstein Rechtsanwälte has a professional indemnity insurance policy with HDI Versicherung AG, HDI-Platz 1 in 30659 Hannover Insurance Number: V-077-901-431-9. The territorial validity for services provided comprises at least the Member States of the EU and meets therefore the requirements of para 51 of the Federal Lawyers’ Act.

Arbitration Procedures
The competent consumer conciliation board for disputes over proprietary interests resulting from a client relationship in Germany is the “Schlichtungsstelle der Rechtsanwaltschaft” (Lawyers’ Meditation Board) at the Federal Bar Association, Rauchstraße 26, 10787 Berlin, http://www.schlichtungsstelle-der-rechtsanwaltschaft.de/.

The participation in proceedings before the “Schlichtungstelle der Rechtsanwaltschaft” is voluntary for lawyers. Mittelstein Rechtsanwälte does not participate in procedures for dispute resolution before a consumer conciliation board.

Furthermore, the European Commission provides a platform regarding online dispute resolution to allow consumers and dealers/service providers in the EU and the EEA out-of-court settlements. The platform is available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
